Sometimes the church is shown more or less as it is (for example, Four Weddings and Funeral, Film 4, 1994), sometimes it is dressed to resemble another kind of place altogether (e.g. Elizabeth: the Golden Age, film, 2007 or What’s love got to do with it, film, 2023), and sometimes this takes the form of being somewhere else, such as the Crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral (e.g. Sherlock Holmes, film, 2009).
