Holy Baptism (also called Christening) is a sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ's Body and the church, allowing us to share in the Covenant made with us by God.
Baptism is considered the only requirement for membership in the Christian community. Infant and adult baptisms are offered at St. Bartholomew's. If you would like to know more read the Short Guide to the Baptism of Children.
Baptism at St Bartholomew's is available to those who live in the Parish and those who worship here regularly and have their names entered on the Church Electoral Roll. Those from other parishes who are not on our Electoral Roll may also be baptised but we will require the goodwill of their parish priest before proceeding.
If you still not sure whether you are eligible, or whether you live in the parish, please contact the Parish Office.
